Docents for the Aquarium at Rockport Harbor have a myriad of duties such as greeting  visitors, interpreting exhibits and marine life displays, providing free literature, monitoring the souvenir shop and directing folks to other sites in the Rockport-Fulton area.  We currently have 38 active docents who work from 7 to 21 hours per month, depending on their own schedules.

Our friendly and knowledgeable docents -- ready, willing and qualified to assist with a great Aquarium experience are: Ann Atteberry, Rebecca Bagby, Julie Cloudt, Bill Crabill, Mary Jane Crabill, Pat Davis, Cassie Davis, Bea Dorf, Joan Dulski, Sharon Frank, Greta Gallatin, Robert Garza, Gene Grennlee, JoEllen Greenlee,  Colin Gribble, Kathie Gribble,  Annette Hegen, Ed Hegen, Gay Hejtmancik, Ramona LeBlanc, Jerry Lewis, June McCann, Linda McHugh, Dora McKelvey, Pat McKelvey, Diana Murphy, Dan Pugh, Carla Rinche, Joyce Scott, Cheri Sheets, Bev Shideler, Bert Siefker, Gwen Smith, Leon Smith, Madeline Stanfield, Vance Vorndam, Reta West, Phil Wildfang and Maureen Winkelman.

After a brief orientation and a couple of shifts with seasoned docents, you can be ready to serve some volunteer hours at the Aquarium.  Just call for more information.

We also have an active and involved "behind-the-scenes" group of volunteers who work on the operations side of the house:  They are under the supervision of Ron Davis and include:  Lillie Gasca, Dixie Doelling, Ben Layscak, Jerry Lewis, Pat Davis, Greta Davis, Melvin Stanfield, and Vance Vorndam.
