The Aquarium at Rockport Harbor welcomed its 50,000th visitor since its opening in July of 2007.  On March 20, Godfrey, IL winter Texas Marilynn Joehl along with  husband Don and their son Don II from Houston, were surprised by the exuberant greeting they received from the staff as they entered the facility. Since then, the Aquarium has welcomed nearly another 10,000 visitors and plan to extend "open days" next year to accommodate Spring break crowds and the growing interest in Rockport's newest attraction . Docent Linda McHugh presented the Joehls with special gifts from the souvenir shop, including the popular "Hooked on Seafood" cookbook shown here,  and complementary membership.
