2010 Raffle Grand Prize Winner |
Raffle Ticket Winner Gene Pawkett, of Elmendorf, TX received congratulations from Rockport Aquarium Volunteer Coordinator Annette Hegen Saturday, May 1, 2010. Pawkett's winning ticket was for a trip for four (4) for six (6) hours with Capt Doug Stanford (Pirates of the Bay Charters). John Iding of Rockport won the original Lisa Baer painting; while Joyce McCoy, also of Rockport was the winner of the Seaworthy Marine basket (Maui Jim products). Gay Hetjmancik (an Aquarium volunteer and Rockport resident) won the Fishing Goodie Basket provided by Key Allegro Real Estate Realtors (Rick Dodd, Carla Rinche and Rebecca Bagby). The drawing was held Saturday afternoon. The Aquarium sold $2100 worth of tickets (approximately 2500 tickets). The Aquarium hopes to make this an annual fundraiser. The drawing was held on the same weekend as the Nautical Flea Market, which added to the attendance at the Aquarium (a record 527 people visited the non-profit facility Saturday) with another 230 visitors on Sunday. |
