Located throughout the visitors area of the Aquarium are small (typically 20 gallon) tanks that contain marine species who require a special environment.  They typically contain flounder, mantis shrimp, blue crab, stone crab, calico crab, blue crab, spider crab, starfish, sleepers, sea anemones, pin fish, and puffers.  Special needs and separation to insure safety cause special handling of these species.  Some of these tanks are pictured below.
